Human Torch Sketch

The initial sketch for Johnny Storm done in Sketchbook Pro.

Superman + Wonder Woman

A Valentine's commission i recently did. This was a lot of fun to work on.

Stretch

I've been reading some of my old Fantastic Four comics and got the urge to do some comic art. I wanted to practice using a new brush pen i bought recently so i did this one traditionally. I also thought it would be fun to do some Marvel characters in a style similar to the Batman: Brave and the Bold cartoon so that's what i was going for here.

This is for sale for $45. It's ink and marker on 8 1/2 x 11 paper. Email me at mjkaufenberg(at)hotmail(dot)com if you're interested.

Clark Griswold - Gallery1988

Here is my piece for the John Hughes Tribute show that opens tonight at Gallery1988. I didn't have time to do a digital piece and get prints made up, so i decided to do a painting for it. I used acrylics and ink and painted it on stained wood (a nod to the Queen Family Truckster). This was my first time using acrylics so it's by no means a masterpiece hahaha but it was fun to do and i look forward to using acrylics more.

It was great to be able to do a piece for the show especially since Vacation is my all-time favorite comedy (no matter how many times i watch it it always makes me laugh hysterically).

For more info about the show, check out G1988's website here

The Alligator Man

Another Carniville Town character, the Yodeling Alligator Man.

Welcome to Carniville Town

I've been wanting to do a carnival/freak-show series for a long time so here is the first one. I've also included some close-ups for your enjoyment.
